Changelog

What's new

Every release of NoNap Pro, newest first.

v1.1.0

ReleasedAugust 18, 2026

Closed-Lid Mode licensing, live menu bar status, and a redesigned Settings experience.

Licensing

  • Closed-Lid Mode now works on a license — start with a free 14-day trial, then unlock it with a one-time purchase. No subscription. Everything else in NoNap Pro stays free.
  • Live status badges — mode badges and an optional countdown sit right beside the menu bar icon, so you always know what’s active at a glance.
  • Native right-click menu — quick access to Settings, Help, and Quit.

Improvements

  • Built-in update checks — the app checks for new releases on its own (at most once a day), or manually from Settings, and never installs anything without you.
  • Settings, reorganized — regrouped into clear sections with row icons, and the countdown badge now appears beside the session text.
  • Keep Display On is remembered — the preference persists across sessions.
  • Closed-Lid clarity — the battery-safety exit threshold is now shown in the popover subtitle and Settings.
  • Stability fixes — menu bar popover positioning and other reliability improvements.

v1.0.5

ReleasedAugust 7, 2026

First public release.

NoNap Pro is here. Keep your MacBook awake — and keep tasks running even after you close the lid.

What’s inside

  • Timed keep-awake — set a timer (2 hours by default, or pick your own) and your Mac stays awake until it ends. Or leave it on for as long as you need.
  • Keep the screen on — stop just the display from dimming, without changing when your Mac sleeps.
  • Keep running with the lid closed — close your MacBook and tasks keep going, for an external monitor, a presentation, or an unattended render.
  • You stay in control — lid-closed mode runs on a permission you can review or turn off anytime in macOS. Nothing leaves your Mac.
  • Battery safety built in — if the battery runs low while you’re on the go, NoNap Pro steps aside and lets your Mac sleep normally. Plugged in, it never interrupts.

How to get it

  • Download the installer from this site. It’s signed and notarized, so macOS knows it’s safe to open.
  • Free to download and use right now.
